Impulsive or Binge Eating // a guidance towards balance
Dear one,
Often times you might be finding yourself retrieving into impulsive and unconscious eating when you are under emotional stress, sadness, boredom or luck of excitement. This is a human reaction under stress and a response resulting from an unbalanced relationship to your body and food. Here I am sharing with you some words and a free meditation guidance to help you find balance whenever this impulse pops up in your daily life.
Usually, we tend to binge eat using edible elements that we can grab fast and that are highly processed, filled with sugar and fat to boost up our endorphins quickly but for a short period of time.
Pause for a moment and feel.
Notice how this impulse feels to you.
Observe your craving softly and gently with no judgement but with curiosity.
Are you really hungry?
Is it something else that you might be missing?
Is it maybe hydration and water?
Are you craving something sweet? it might be that you need a sweet fruit like an apple or a teaspoon of honey.
Are you craving something crunchy or something iced?
Detect your craving and find a healthy alternative to it.
Are you maybe just tired?
Does your body need to rest to fill up their energy containers and instead they are falsely craving for some energy boost from a sugar rush or a caffeine kick?
Feel into how could you get this endorphin boost elsewhere? Either through physical exercise, a favourite activity that fulfils your spirit like art or music.
I share with you below a free recorded meditation practice to help you find your centre in relation to the edible elements you are choosing to use whenever an impulse to eat unconsciously comes up.
Thank you for following along and I wish you to resonate and enjoy this practice! ✨
Love and gratitude to you,
Alexandra
